On November 3, 2011, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) designated South Sudan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). More recently, on March 1, 2022, DHS redesignated South Sudan for TPS. The registration period for this redesignation runs from March 3, 2022 to November 3, 2023, at which point South Sudan's TPS is scheduled to expire.

This app will help South Sudanese applicants determine if they qualify for TPS. To consult with one of our lawyers about TPS and about our filing your TPS case, please go to https://www.visalaw.com/consultation. Qualified TPS applicants are eligible for an employment authorization document and may, in some circumstances, travel outside the United States.
