On January 16, 2017, the Department of Homeland Security and USCIS published a final regulation creating a new benefit that allows certain entrepreneurs in start-up companies to apply for parole which allows them to live in the US and work in their business for up to five years. This app is designed to help potential initial applicants determine if they might qualify for Entrepreneur Parole.

The Trump Administration attempted to rescind the regulation, but was successfully challenged in court. The rule remained on the books for the entirety of Trump's presidency, but the program was largely dormant with few applications being filed and approved.

The program is expected to get new life in the coming Biden Administration and on May 11, 2021, the Biden Administration announced it was pulling the attempted rescinding rule. This app will help potential applicants understand how the program works and whether they are likely to qualify.

Note: This app is for new parole applications. The rules for those already in the parole program seeking re-parole are not the same as an initial application.
